FAQs

ACCESS

What do I do if I have trouble accessing the virtual classroom? Please email the Producer, whose contact information is provided above.

I clicked on the Teams link, but I can’t get in. What should I try now? Some DoD facilities block your ability to click on embedded links. In this case, copy and paste the link directly into your browser. We recommend Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.

May I call into the classroom (without participating via the Teams web or desktop app)? No. Due to the interactive nature of the course, students must participate through Teams. Participating exclusively via phone/audio does not satisfy our attendance requirements.

ATTENDANCE

Can I miss part of the class and still get credit? Per DAU Directive 704, “Full-time attendance (start through graduation) is required for all students.” However, “DAU recognizes full-time attendance may not always be possible.” Accordingly, DAU has defined certain “excused absences,” which “are not to exceed five (5) percent of instructional time. Excused absences that exceed five (5) percent of instructional time may require that the student self-withdraw from the class and take it a future time.” If you have a known and excused absence, please email the Program Manager, Denis Cook.

What constitutes 5% percent of instructional time this course? GRT 201 is 32 hours of instructional time. Therefore, 5% equates to 1.6 hours — for easy math, you should assume an excused absence may not exceed two hours.

COURSE CLOSEOUT

When will I get my final exam result and completion certificate? Typically, you can expect to review your final exam result and course completion certificate within 2-3 business days of the end of the course.

When and how do I complete the course evaluation? Within 2-3 business days of the end of the course, you will receive an automated email from DAU with the online course evaluation. It takes 5 to 10 minutes to complete.

How many CLPs/CEUs is this course worth? GRT 201 is worth 24 CLPs/CEUs.

MISC.

My question isn’t in your FAQ. Whom do I ask? For general questions, please email the Program Manager, Denis Cook.

May I continue to access this website and its documents? Yes, with the password we provided in the course “welcome” email. We still recommend, however, downloading and saving the course documents locally for quick reference.
